An August Portland Sunrise

With the often photographed Portland Bill lighthouse behind me; this photograph looks east as the sun rises and showers it's beautiful light over the English Channel. In the distance the cranes that in the past served the portland stone industry can be seen and in the foreground the light dappled rocks are splashed by the incoming tide.
